Navigation is a lifelong learning career. As a maritime major student in higher technical and vocational maritime colleges, he needs to cultivate his autonomous learning ability in English learning. The article reviews the theoretical basis of autonomous learning, analyses the necessity and feasibility of autonomous learning based on Blending learning, and puts forwards some suggestions, which can be of some help to maritime major students and lay a solid foundation for their future jobs.
